Ratha Sapthami

Ratha Sapthami is a 1986 IndianKannada romance musical film directed by M. S. Rajashekar and produced by S. A. Govindaraj. The film starred Shivarajkumar in his second venture after Anand and debutantes Asha Rani and Parvathavani in the lead roles. The story set in college is based on a novel written by Vidyullatha Sasanoor. The film had a musical score composed by Upendra Kumar while the lyrics, screenplay and dialogues were written by Chi. Udaya Shankar. P. Vasu was cowriter of this movie. The movie is based on Kannada novel of same name by Vidyullatha Sasanoor.

The musical score by Upendra Kumar was received exceptionally well with all the songs topping the charts.
